Here's one for you that will probably make your blood boil, but then isn't that what most True Prophets of God do to most people!Preying on the Poor
Amos 2:6-8
(6) Thus says the LORD: " For three transgressions of Israel, and for four, I will not turn away its punishment, Because they sell the righteous for silver, And the poor for a pair of sandals. (7) They pant after the dust of the earth which is on the head of the poor, And pervert the way of the humble.
A man and his father go in to the same girl, To defile My holy name. (8) They lie down by every altar on clothes taken in pledge, And drink the wine of the condemned in the house of their god.
Mankind’s immorality which is there because he chooses to walk in the pleasures of sin for a season rather than Gods Light and some even say, “Oh well, at least I lived life to the fullest” falls into three major categories:
1) Indifference to their own oppression of the poor and others who do so also.
2) Coveting the wealth that can be made from and which is displayed by their placing their primary and foremost importance on material possessions.
3) Unrestricted promotion of self-advantage or doing anything and anything to anyone that tries to get in their way.
The Hebrew words for poor are very similar to our "underdog." Amos uses two different words, [ebyôn] and [dal], to designate the state of the poor. Amos 4:1The word [kine] is [parah] which is like a “piranha” devouring fish, but the word means a cow or the idea that was developed from the worship of the golden cow in the wilderness. “Ebyôn” usually designates the very poor and “dal” describes the lowest social class in which man calls street people. Street people got there by other of mankind operating in this behavior of greed and survival of the fittest. However, both words speak of or are directed to their "wanting because of oppression or exploitation" and refer to the weaker members of society that have been looked upon as scum of the Earth, when their treatment is what caused their condition. To God the poor are those without the worldly resources or connections to defend themselves and so called Christians treat them worse than the street people treat themselves. As a result of their weakness to defend themselves and the lack of Gods Light not being shone to them, the wicked [means twisted in thinking instead of Gods Love] look upon the poor as fair game to exploit and make promises to them in the NAME of the Lord and call themselves Evangelists, Apostles and Prophets of God that say that if they would give them what money they have, God will make them rich. Have He ever done it? No, because it is not scriptural! God can get you the money you need when you do what He says and not what man teaches that only makes the ones at the top of their pyramid scheme and leaders in the church society rich. I am a Prophet and I do as Elijah who was another Prophet of God did and multiply their food and teach them the Truth of Gods Word which is walking in Kingdom principles so they can produce their needs from it. [Isaiah 10:1-2] Yes, if you obey God and GIVE to WHOM He says to give to, you will increase money wise, because that is scriptural, but no where is there a tithe of money for the church operation as a tithe! It was vegetables, fruits, spices, animals to feed the O”POOR” and the widows. Does your church feed the “poor” and take care of the “poor widows” that may be on social security and then being robbed from or do you just say, church let‘s pray for these “poor“ unfortunate people and if it be thy will Lord show them that if they just tithed to the Church, you would bring the money in they need.” LIAR, LIAR, LIAR!!!!? Your praying that prayer and not doing the Will of God put them there. Today, "poor" could refer to the small businessman or consumer at the mercy of the huge corporations, or the "little guy" under the thumb of "big" government which will usher in the mark of the beast. Have you ever wondered why it is called the mark of the beast? When man fell and looks at Gods created things in a twisted and perverted by Satan manner, he studied the beasts of the earth and saw the stronger survive off of devouring the weaker. That is not mans nature and never has man had an animal nature as Satan has taught man to think. Being like something is not the same as possessing it. Man can imitate the sounds of a baboon, but isn’t one. He may act like the cursed nature of one, but doesn’t have that nature. It is that Satan led thinking man is to die to and walk in the NATURE of God which is provided for by Christ Yeshua’s Blood.
One of the means of oppression to mankind was seen in the courts system as it is today where the perpetrator and the criminal has more right than the victim and Amos frequently shows how the poor "took it on the chin" within the so called “justice” system. In a lawsuit the guilty party, one of the "strong," bribed the judge, who found the innocent person—the weak—guilty. [Isaiah 5:23] As so often it happens today in America, the ancient Israelites shunned out-of-court settlements. It is like the corporate heads of the big companies making multi millions of dollars by stealing and putting the money into offshore banks and asking the poor of America to give them billions more to bail out their greed. God says that evil that was done in secret will in that day be shouted from the roof tops and exposed. They like the sue hungry crowd of today, went to court even over minor matters because their chances for a larger settlement were better. Yes they had ambulance chasers in that day, only they were camel chasers. When a person was found guilty by the court, he, of course, had to pay a fine and the judge and lawyer split the prophets. If he did not have enough in his pocket to pay it, he could pay in produce and today the courts take you house, car etc and especially in an election year where they want to make a big impression. It would be nice if they did it on the big corporations to make their money, but they are just as dishonest and prey on the poor where it isn‘t noticed as much and people are under the guise that they deserve it anyway. For example, a vintner could pay in wine. The victors then took their winnings—"the wine of the condemned"—and partied. [Amos 2:8] Like today if the big boys want to develop their project, they pay the judge and your property is condemned for you and “OKed” for their development after they steal it and makes you a street person or the “POOR.” They that are spoken of by Amos had turned into self-centered parasites [kine] who lived by the code, "get the other guy before he gets you." Israelites the same as the church can be a mercenary, unmerciful lot of people. I know I had one Jew steal over $250,000.00 worth of food from the food bank my wife and I started to feed the POOR, but by letting God take vengeance and praying for the man’s salvation instead because he was actually stealing from God, he lost his followers and the church and food bank he claimed was the first Jewish food bank which was also closed. Obviously, God was not happy with this system of justice then or now and it is even worse now, because man only GRIPES and MURMURS to God about the injustice and doesn’t do as Yeshua Jesus said of loving them and praying Gods will be done, not praying the problem that’s there and He sees anyway. Today's "wine of the condemned" awarded to the injured party—reaching into the billions of dollars—goes mostly for exorbitant lawyer and court fees. Governments of all sizes include expected fines from so called lawbreakers in their budgets. I say so called because their crimes are greater. A poor person steals 10 dollars of food to feed his family and gets 20 years and your company steals billions in 401K plans and he gets community service for a day with news cameras expressing the unfairness of the justice system against this POOR innocent victim.
In addition, the Israelites coveted real estate to the ridiculous extent that the buyer begrudged the small amount of dust the seller threw on his head to symbolize his grief over losing his ancestral properties. [Amos 2:7] In a similar vein, God accuses the Jews of moving the boundaries between parcels of land. [Hosea 5:10] In those days, instead of driving a stake into the ground to mark their property lines, landowners set up pillars of stones representing the revelation of God the Rock on the boundaries. God pictures the Jews kicking the boundary stones over a few feet when no one is looking. They may have justified it with, "Doesn't everybody do it?" but it was and still is outright theft. Because the strong could so easily exploit the weak, land and wealth in Israel fell into fewer and fewer hands. God cries, "Woe to those who join house to house, who add field to field, till there is no place where they may dwell alone in the midst of the land!" [Isaiah 5:8] It is no different than today's big international combines buying up farmland and displacing farmers, who must then find jobs, usually in urban areas. How soon we have forgotten that small family farms played a large role in keeping the United States economically and socially stable for generations! The real problem lies with people themselves who complacently and lazy in their spirit have allowed this to go on by saying, “well, I know it is wrong, but this is still the greatest nation on Earth.” “Where else can you enjoy the freedoms we have?” Oh, really, just try praying at school or in public! We need to be aware that the resulting instability in mans thinking will lead us down the same path of destruction as it did Israel!
"They lie down by every altar on clothes taken in pledge." [Amos 2:8] Under the Old Covenant, a person's cloak could be taken as security for a loan, but in [Exodus 22:26-27] shows that it was to be returned every evening if it doubled as his blanket at night. God considers keeping a poor man's coat overnight as taking advantage of him and Yeshua Jesus said if they steal your coat them give them your cloak also because if you live by My rules and not the ones man says are My Laws of Love and get out of this twisted thinking of “well, I earned all I own” attitude, you will be able to produce substance from the Kingdom to replace it and more abundantly.
Remember, our judgment from God largely depends on how we treat our fellow man as demonstrated in [Matthew 25:33-46] This speaks of doing it now and not when you get to heaven. Yeshua isn’t naked or hungry now or at anytime, but the people you see everyday, but you have hardened your heart against Gods Two Commandments, are. Good relationships with others are vital to maintaining a good relationship with God. [Matthew 5:23-24] This means we must always do the right things toward others no matter how much man says you have the right to be mad at them for how they treated you. Psalms 15:4 is how Yeshua did for us while man pulled out His beard, whipped His back until the bones showed through, spit in His face and slapped Him, made Him carry His own cross after do in all that to Him, and said, Father don’t treat them the same way they do Me! [Psalms 15:4] Most of you have a hard time carrying a five pound sack of potatoes from the store to your car and some of you even have the box boy do it for you! Heaven forbid that you might react as written in [Matthew 5:44-48]. Let EVERY man examine themselves as to whether they are following Gods Laws of LOVE or mans laws of whatever suits them at the time and can’t even keep with the Blood of Yeshua Jesus they say they have received. Yeshua Jesus doesn’t overlook your excuses as to why you can’t do what He says His Blood provided! I get so tired of hearing people say, “well, Jesus knows I am only a sinner and His Blood covers it anyway.” Really, then why did He also say, “if you sin willfully there is no sacrifice for it?” He said BE PERFECT the same as your Father through His Blood provision! AWAKE CHURCH, RISE AND SHINE!!!!!!
